This webpage is dedicated to present and past Don and Doña Honorees, and to provide information on future Don and Doña Presentation Events as it become available.
For 61 years, since the Pleasant Valley Historical Museum and Garden's inception in 1964, Don and Doña honors have been awarded to over 500 long-time local residents who are nominated by the community. These residents have made a difference in the community through their professional and volunteer efforts for at least twenty years. The designation harkens back to early California days as the title given to community leaders. (Adolfo Camarillo [1864–1958] was considered the “last of the Spanish Dons”.) The Society is pleased to acknowledge their contributions to this lovely valley.
Again for year 2025, the Pleasant Valley Historical Museum and Garden recognizeed individuals who have made significant contributions to the community. Once again, nominations were received and reviewed to determine this year’s group of worthy recipients. The individuals selected include a wide range of service to the community to make the Pleasant Valley area even a more special place. PVHM&G congratulates the following:
